Entrepreneur - Part II

I've posted before about Margot's entrepreneurial ideas.

This morning she had a new one.

"What if a Pez container could also be a nail clipper? After you finish the candy, you could keep it and use it to clip your nails."

Hmmm. I don't know if I like this as much as the towel-less bathroom idea, but there's got to be something we can do with empty Pez dispensers!

Spring!

Spring came this weekend and brought glorious 75 degree temperatures for the entire week prior. That means Margot spent lots of time at the park, lots of time chalking the sidewalk, and lots of time playing hopskotch. (Neither of us know the exact rules for hopskotch, but she mostly enjoys the jumping and could care less where the stone goes when she tosses it.)

It also means that shortly after these photos were taken, Margot wiped out while running and skinned both her knees.

Ballet photos

Margot is going to take a brief break from ballet from April - September so she can swim more often. This is her choice. I hope she goes back to ballet eventually, because she's really good (for her age) and she's loved it since age 2, but if she doesn't want to I won't push her. (Note: Once she saw the camera come up, she became really goofy.)

On her toes: Plie with a smooch for mom: Blurry grand jete:

Also, here is a quick video from class. At the end of it, she's with one of her best girlfriends, Lucille. I love the still frame at the end where they are both smiling.

Finally, if you haven't yet had enough of Margot as dancer, you can look here to see how she's grown as a ballerina (the link is from 2 years ago). Also, here. Finally, here.

Cryptic Messages

Margot has taken to letter writing in the past few weeks. She has been penning notes to her cousins of reading age and dropping them in the mail/delivering them.

They require quite a bit of deciphering, however. First, she forgets to put spaces in between her words so sometimes theyallruntogetherlikethis. Also, her spelling is completely phonetic, so the letters may look like a jumble of nothing but do actually make sense if you sound them out.

For example, she made a picture for one of her school friends and wrote this at the top:

BUCHRIS

"Bew-kris?" I thought to myself. What does THAT mean?

I asked her about it.

"Oh," said Min. "It's for Beatrice."

Of course! Try sounding it out. B-uh-ch(like 'choo choo')-riss. BEATRICE. Completely logical.
